1.      Entries are invited from Optimist, Minnow and Sabot sailors in accordance with the attached Notice of Race.
·         Junior coaching regatta focussed on participation, inspiration, fun and friendship.
·         On- & off-water coaching & racing for junior “Advanced”, “Intermediate”, “Novice Blue” & “Novice Green” sailors.
·         All entrants receive an event participation memento. Lots of great encouragement prizes.
·         Entry must be completed on-line www.dbyc.com.au - simply follow the prompts.
·         On-line entry system allows a single entry & payment process for event entry, lunches, Saturdaynight dinner and event shirts.
·         Entries are strictly limited - the event sold out very quickly in the last three years, so be sure to enter early.
·         Early entries ($65) close on Mon 8 Feb 2016, after which a late entry fee ($90) applies.
·         Boats can be dropped at DBYC prior to the event - access times, details & low tide times listed in Notice of Race.

2.      Coaching levels – when entering please carefully consider the appropriate coaching level:
·         Advanced is focussed on racing, can handle tougher weather conditions
·         Intermediate is for those starting to race and looking to improve general racing / sailors should be comfortable in most conditions
·         Novice Blue is for those who can sail to windward comfortably & complete a course
·         Novice Green is for sailors that can sail, but may not yet be able to complete a true windward course
All Novice sailors should have done some sailing previously - the event is not a beginners / introductory ‘learn to sail’ program.

3.      Power Boats - As in previous years the event can only run with the generous support of clubs, classes and parents. DBYC invites clubs, classes and parents to assist through the provision of a fully insured power boat(s). Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you, your club or class can assist, could you kindly register you and your boat’s details (type, length, engine size, whether it has a radio) by either:
·         Completing the section in the entry process; or
·         Emailing Peter Danks peter@efg.com.au. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

4.      Sponsors - Davey's Bay and the Lidgett Trophy is fortunate to receive valued support from Club Marine, Toorak College, McEwing Partners Real Estate, Ozi-Opti, Bendigo Bank, Ronstan and Ted’s Camera’s. We are sure these businesses would appreciate your support over the coming months.

We certainly hope to be able to welcome you to what promises to be another fun filled inspirational event.
