An inspirational fun junior coaching event on- & off-water, the iSail Lidgett Trophy offers coaching & racing for “advanced”, “intermediate”, “novice blue” & “novice green” sailors. All entrants receive a participation memento.
Davey's Bay Yacht Club (DBYC) invites online (only) entries from Optimist, Minnow and Sabot sailors:
Event is not a beginner / introductory ‘learn-to-sail’ activity. Novices should have sailed previously.
Entries subject to 2017 iSail Lidgett Trophy Notice of Race. Entry numbers are strictly limited.
When entering, please pre-order t-shirts, lunch and Saturday night dinner (regularly sold-out pre-event).
Boats can be dropped at DBYC prior to event - access times, details & low tide times in Notice of Race
Coach Groups: When entering you will be asked to nominate one of the following coaching levels:
Advanced: sailor is focussed on racing and can handle tougher weather conditions.
Intermediate: sailor is comfortable in most conditions and is keen to improve general racing.
Novice Blue: sailor can sail to windward comfortably & complete a course.
Novice Green: sailor can sail, but may not yet be able to complete a true windward course.
Coaches & Power Boats: Event runs thanks to voluntary support of clubs, classes, coaches & parents.
