DBYC has arranged for a club-specific First Aid course so that all members can start the season ready to assist if a medical issue arises. The session will cover CPR, strains, sprains, fractures, hypothermia, drowning or near drowning, snakebites, head injuries and even dealing with stingray barb strikes.
We have scheduled the session on Sunday 29/10 which is AGM day so there's two reasons to be at the club. The session will focus on dangers relevant to what a yacht club might encounter, with an aim for the session to be informal and fun, suitable for all ages from 10 to 110! Please note that this is not a registered course however it will allow you respond appropriately when a medical issue arises and make sure that your knowledge is up to date. The AGM will follow at 11:30am. To RSVP please email Jane Meldrum at jane.meldrum@flyingvisit.tv Comments are closed.
